MY FUTURE JOB

Unlike most young people, I have thought a lot about my future, although any future projection can change, especially at this age, I would like to have a job related to teaching, a job that alows me to be linked to the scholar's world. Before entering the university I felt a strong attraction to social research, and when I entered the university that attraction became stronger, so that's where this idea, of having a carrer in education, started to appear on my thoughts.

As far as I know, that job has the requirement of having post-graduate studies, ideally a master's degree and a PhD, so studying after finishing my current study program is an imperative for me. The post-graduate study that I would like to take would obviously be related to public policy, about the country, that is a matter I do not have much concern, but if I had to choose I would prefer one in which the people speak english. About the salary, the truth that is not a thing that worries me, as long as it is enough to live I will be ok.

However, besides the job I mentioned earlier, I would also like, at some point of my life, work in some public service to experience the environment surrounding the public sphere by myself, and thus facilitate the understanding of certain phenomena which are difficult to understand from the outside, from the "researcher's laboratory". If I could choose the service in which to work, I would choose one related to the area of ​​control, such as the superintendencies or the "Contraloría General de la República de Chile".
